I bought this for my 2yo and had my husband and his brother put it together a couple of days before Christmas (I had read not to do it last minute). Let me tell you it's probably the only "put it together" item they've built that I haven't had to go back and fix something, so I'm assuming it was easy. Though it did take them a while to find the number on each piece. Better than peeling off giant stickers in my opinion.

My daughters, the 2yo and the 8yo, love this kitchen. The younger spend time in it every day. It's very attractive and nicely sized and I get lots of compliments from the playdates. The doors all open and close easily and securely. We've built the girls an entire area with table, reading nook, and shelves to store all her play food.

I am actually not able to rate this product, but I can let you know how horribly packaged the product was when it was delivered to me. Pieces of the kitchen were sticking out of the box. The box had huge holes all over it. I was issued a fedex return label, but had to be charged a second time before a new order would be processed. And once they receive my first order back, I will be issued a refund. I was issued no additional discount or offer for the major inconvenience that I experienced. I have never before seen a package delivered in such poor condition. Unfortunately, I have no idea if it was Hayneedle or Fedex that caused the damage.

We received this set as a gift for Christmas for our 4 and 1 year old daughters. This set not only is visually very attractive, it's a nice size for any room. The refrigerator holds a lot of play food and all of the cabinets are functional. The wood appears to be durable and I think both of our kids will get a lot of use out of it. As with any product like this, the assembly is a bit of a pain, because it does take a while. It was well worth it though, and I believe it's a good value for the price.

We bought this, this past Christmas 2011 for our little girl who will be 2 in January.. She has NON stop played with it and my son who is 4 has been playing with it as well lol My husband put this product together by hisself in a little over 2 hours..well i sat there and was willing to help but all i did was put the handles on the doors.. It wasn't bad or hard to put together at all and they even include extra screws just in case..I love how everything was labeled when it came to putting it together and even all the bolts screws etc. were labeled as well... and the dish set that comes with it is adorbale.. GREAT BUY and both our kids love it :) Would defintely recommend to EVERYONE!!! *AWESOME*

My 2 and 3 year old girls loved it!! We used to have a popular name brand plastic kitchen which was great but no storage space. For Christmas my girls got a lot of the Melissa and doug play food sets which fit perfect in this kicthen. The fridge is so big there is tons of space. It came with great dishes they were very cute and matched so great. Overall this was the best purchase I made for Christmas we all loved it. And the price was Amazing!! My niece who is 6 loved it so I know my girls will be able to use this for a long time. First class all the way!! Just to pick one thing out to be bad about this would be the sink was a little scratched up but by all the reviews on here I learned all I have to do is call kidkraft and they should send me a new one. But really it wasnt that bad.

Just an added note if you lay out all the pieces before you start it makes putting it together so easy!! You should buy this its great. My girls are actually cooking me up so great food on it right now as I type!!

Service and delivery comments:

I got it so fast I couldnt believe it I ordered 2 weeks before Christmas just in case and ended up getting it in two days so I had to give it to my girls early because there was nowhere to hide it. But they didnt mind that lol.
