I'm a 29yr old mommy who bought this kitchen for my 2yr old daughter for Christmas and just put it together by my self last night. Start to finish it took me excatly 3 hours. The directions were easy to follow. Made sure I did it step by step. All the parts were there and came in good condtion. The kitchen even came a couple of days early. I was even able to move it into another room for hidding until Christmas morning. I really can wait to see here face when she sees it for the first time. It does seem very sturdy and should last a long time. I only wish it came in other colors. But I can definitly live with it. I hope it will be nice to have the fridge in the middle and so kids can play on both sides and have more room to play. I also feel like it looks less of a space hog.

This was a great buy for our daughter's 2nd birthday. She's only had a for a few days but I can see her playing with it for a long time! She really likes and loves opening all the doors and storing stuff inside. The size of this kitchen is good and really looks nice in our playroom. The colors are perfect and not too pastel or bright. Great purchase! And it is alot of peices but we put it together in about 2.5 hours

I initially ordered a Step 2 plastic kitchen- but the microwave, oven and fridge "storage space" was so tiny- that my child would not have been able to use her Melissa and Doug cookie and cake sets with that kitchen. This Kidkraft wooden kitchen is perfect sized- for my daughter (age 2). I think she will be able to play with it till she is at least 5. Of note, I had also considered the Deluxe Big and Bright Kidkraft Kitchen as I thought it might last until my daughter was age 7 or so to play with.... but I felt that this was a better design choice- even though it is smaller. I like the fridge in the middle- and the stove-top on the end- more than one child can definitely play with this set.
