Our toddler spent much of his time trying to cook alongside mommy at the real stove... that is, until he had his own!

This stove is a refreshing change to the overstuffed and silly designs of the plastic monstrosities out there. It takes up far less space but provides a great deal of creative play ~ stove, oven, dishwasher (or laundry depending on what day), a clock and shelf. Add a bright, pleasing color and the fact that it could fold up if we needed it to? You got yourself a deal...

Notes though... while it'll fold down, it's NOT easy to put together. You even have to add the double hinges on the doors and folding elements. Thank goodness we didn't try to put it together after we showed our son the box!

One piece, the magnet panel that the doors connect to shut, did break after repeated closing. It was glued and stapled on; we need to screw it back in.

Overall, this is a wonderful stove and we would highly recommend it.

It took way to long to assemble this kitchen. I am pretty handy so I was suprised.
The kitchen itself is ok, but be prepared to spend a few hours assembling the baby.

My daughter loves this kitchen, but unfortunately it hasn't even made it through three days without having issues -- unfortunately most caused by the parents, not even the kid. It's made of the cheapest particle board -- think about something even cheaper than the Swedes. One of the stove burners chipped when we took it out of the package and took the foam off. The red "wood" next to the sink chipped during assembly. (And yes, we were being careful.) And then, when following the directions to fold up the kitchen and secure it, it turns out that the screw for doing so is too long for the hole they want you to use, so it started to punch through the particleboard on the top shelf about halfway in. Also, two of the hinges fell apart as we unfolded the piece for the first time during assembly -- the pins fell right out.

This kitchen takes a lot of assembly, and in most cases the holes are predrilled but they don't always align correctly. There are 12 tiny screws used to put the plastic knobs on, but they are nearly impossible to screw into the holes in the plastic and we couldn't get them snug. The pieces are nicely lettered to fit with the instructions, but in some cases the instructions are actually incorrect (point to a dowel and hole that don't exist and fortunately don't seem to be necessary). We are disappointed, to say the least. My daughter is so happy playing with it, but I doubt it will last as long as she will want it to.
