My 2yr old has been pretending everything is a "Birthday Cake". I decided to search the net for "play cakes" and found this. She loves it! All pieces are utilized as a puzzle so she is challenged while having fun. The only con is the base comes off very easily, but wood glue fixed it!

My grandson loved the idea of this product but found it difficult to use. At 2 he may be too young perhaps b/c of too many parts. The "flame" part of the candle is small and could be "mouthed" by a younger child. The cake plate base could be bigger and came off from time to time. Certainly good for an older child.
